Gave a try at getting a Milky Way image. (Tim, the forecast clouds held off 🙂 ) There may be a few Perseid meteors in the Milky Way region (short, faint streaks).

Stung image. Wonderful capture of the Milky Way. Great that the clouds didn’t materialize.

Yes about the clouds. Fog was around but somehow it just didn’t invade this spot. You can just make out some weak bits on the horizon in the image. If I had gone a few miles farther down the road behind where the camera was pointing, I am sure I would have been in the thick of it.
