That’s a fascinating part of the image. Taking formal group pictures is quite common in Taiwan. It now takes so much longer because so many people have cameras and they want the photographer to take a picture of the group with them in it using their camera. By the time the photographer gets to their camera it has gone off and takes time to restart. After the third picture everyone looks so board. When you’re done everyone is posting to their Facebook page. Well almost everyone.
I assume *you* are the referenced photographer here. Maybe you should take to wearing a head/body cam like a GoPro or similar in addition to your trusty still camera. Just leave the GP on and extract that elusive frame from the video feed. New wave ‘decisive’ moment. (I can see CB cringing.)
