No matter the color, I like the shadows created by the Calder mobile. Well it looks like a Calder.

Thanks, Tim. It is a Calder. And I found the shadows to create complimentary ‘art’ to the mobile. Whoever set this up did a nice job with the lighting.

Lighting on sculpture can make a huge difference. It is like adding an additional dimension to a 3d work. There was a Giacometti sculpture exhibit at the Guggenheim Museum last fall when we were there. Although I really like his work I was more fascinated with the shadows that were created by the various lighting that was used.
