My usual preference for the Weekly Photo Challenge is a single image but this time I thought I’d be recursively ornate.
“Mundane and meaningful objects. Beautiful everyday things. This week, surprise us with something or someone (extra)ordinary.” Hmm…
Definitely ordinary, perhaps mundane, but I think the bright colors give it a little something extra. Meaningful to someone? That could be a surprise!
Remember these grids? Old fashioned graph paper. This one, in particular, is a bit of historical artifact, made by the drafting instrument and supplies company, Keuffel and Esser. Calculators and computers basically made the products of K & E obsolete. (Besides graph papers, K & E also made drafting tools and slide rules.) How ironic this antique should now find use as a WPC image.
The question in this week’s challenge (“What subject keeps you coming back?”) had me scratching my head until it occurred to me that recently I have been (ahem) stuck on cacti (prickly pear to be specific). Here are some examples for your aMUSEment.
