High key avocet for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge.
Looks like snow but it is an illusion created by the prolific bloom on the trees and the carpet of petals underneath.
Oops! Meant to post this yesterday for Cee’s Flower of the Day for February 18, 2018. Better late than never, I suppose. Cee’s flower was a bearded iris and one had just popped up in the garden, so I thought I’d do another, too. 🙂
The first image is of impressive cactus flowers captured in the morning. The second, a scant few hours later, is of the same flowers that afternoon. What an amazing change in so short a time.
An iris flower is the epitome of temporary. Bright blooms one day. Brown, withered remnants the next.
The ole red, white and blue (and some green, too 🙂 )
Remembering Bastille Day.
