Looks like snow but it is an illusion created by the prolific bloom on the trees and the carpet of petals underneath.
Oops! Meant to post this yesterday for Cee’s Flower of the Day for February 18, 2018. Better late than never, I suppose. Cee’s flower was a bearded iris and one had just popped up in the garden, so I thought I’d do another, too. 🙂

Allan of sweet ohm CA suggested a black and white treatment of the cactus flowers in my previous post might look good. Sounded interesting so here’s a re-do.
An iris flower is the epitome of temporary. Bright blooms one day. Brown, withered remnants the next.
